Names Of Dead In Texas City Crash Released

Fatality Motor Vehicle Accident
The names of the deceased in Friday’s fatal accident have been identified as: Timothy Paugh 51, of LaMarque Texas, driver of the gray Dodge Ram was pronounced dead on the scene of the collision.
Roger Macias 54, of Houston, driver of the white Ford Pickup was pronounced dead the following day at UTMB Galveston.
The accident remains under investigation.

TEXAS CITY, TX (October 06, 2017, 5:37 PM): The Texas City Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident that left one dead and one critically injured. At approximately 5:37 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of State Highway-146 South in reference to a major accident. Police arrived on scene to discover that a gray Dodge Ram 2500 was involved in a series of collisions before colliding head on with a white Ford pickup. Preliminary investigation revealed that the Dodge Ram was traveling north bound in the south bound lanes of traffic, sideswiped a Buick traveling south bound in the 900 block of Highway- 146, continued traveling north bound in the south bound lanes of traffic striking the concrete retainer wall at the foot of the North Loop overpass, re-enters the north south bound lanes of traffic where it collided head on with the white Ford pickup. The driver of the Dodge Ram was pronounced dead on the scene of the collision. The driver of the white Ford pickup was transported by Life Flight to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for possible life threatening injuries. Accident Investigators and Detectives are currently working the scene.
