64 calls for service

7 individuals arrested, one of those for a felony.

Douglas Cruise 36, of Paris was arrested on a warrant charging animal cruelty.  The warrant was the result of an investigation regarding a deceased dog found on July 5th at a residence in the 1800 block of E Cherry Street.  The dog was found still chained and investigation revealed no food, water or proper care was being provided for the animal.

An incident of pulling out of a parking place and a vehicle not yielding ended with the arrest of one of the drivers.  Officers responded to a man with a gun call at WalMart on the parking lot at 3:16 PM.  The victim told officers that she was pulling out of a parking place when a vehicle pulled up behind her blocking her exit. She admitted to getting out of her vehicle and ‘flipping’ off the other driver at which time the driver was alleged to have produced a handgun and pointed the weapon at her.  She and her two daughters ran from the scene and called 9-1-1.  Officers found the individual still on the parking lot and made a traffic stop.  A resulting search of the vehicle produced a very realistic looking BB handgun. The driver, Jaylon Jevon Perrin 18 of Paris was arrested for aggravated assault.

The mug shot of Cruise is attached, the one for Perrin has some kind of computer issue where I can’t pull it up.  If I get this resolved, I’ll send it out.
