A retired Houston Police office was wounded during the Santa Fe High School shooting this morning.

Retired officer John Barnes, who went to work as a Santa Fe ISD police officer following his retirement, was shot in both arms.

Arterial and vascular damage.

His heart stopped in the ambulance but they revived him and stabilized him. Anesthesiologist said he was talking and responsive.
