Good Morning Watchdogs! 

I wanted to update you with criminal activity in the area. 

Early this morning (Saturday 05/12/2018) Officer Cowart with Jamaica Beach PD assisted Galveston Officers responding to a call of some car burglaries in the Pirates' Cove area off of 12 Mile Road. 

After an aggressive search for the suspect, Officers were able to capture him without incident. 

The suspect has been linked to the Jamaica Beach break-ins and those in Palm Beach and Pirates' Beach as well. 

The suspect is a drifter and would enter unlocked cars and houses. 

Every summer we have encounters like this one.

There will be more, so PLEASE lock your car and your houses when you leave.

Although the perpetrators name was not given in the above report we searched the jail records for a person arrested for Auto Burglary on 05/12/2018 and found only the one listed below.  The inmates mug shot had not yet been posted so only this information was available.
It has not been verified that this is the person connected with the above report from Jamaica Beach Police.
