News Release from Chief Rod Carroll

Subject:  Narcotics Arrest

Date: March 15, 2018

 

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, the Vidor Police Department responded to the area of the 500 block of Mill Street, Vidor, Texas in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival Officers made contact with Anthony Earl Charles Iles, age 28. Mr. Iles attempted to discard a baggie containing marijuana as the officer approached. Mr. Iles was detained for the marijuana. During a search of his person a cylinder containing Black Tar Heroin was located. The officer conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, Mr. Iles had just stepped out of upon his approach. Inside the vehicle the officer located several pills, Crystal Meth, a large container of black tar heroin. Mr. Iles was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Orange County Jail. He was charged with:

                      

            Possession of Controlled substance             $25,000

            Possession of Controlled Substance             $25,000

            Possession of Marijuana                               $   1,500

 

The narcotics located was as follows:

            35 Pills            Methocarbamol( Muscle Relaxant)

            10 Pills            Lexapro

            16 grams         Marijuana

            19 Grams        Crystal Meth

            140 Grams        Black Tar Heroin
