Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6425 Westheimer about 12 p.m. on January 14, 2014.  

The suspect, Alicia Levalle Duncan (b/f, 24), is charged with murder in the 174th State District Court.  She is accused in the killing of her boyfriend, Jeffery Hamilton, 34, of the above address.  

A 2014 photo of Duncan is attached to this news release.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer D. Shorten reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at the above address.  Officers arrived and found Ms. Duncan was shot inside her apartment at the Palms of Westheimer Apartment complex.  HFD paramedics responded and transported Duncan to the hospital.  Officers then found Mr. Hamilton deceased inside the same apartment.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  

Further investigation determined Duncan had shot and killed Hamilton and then shot herself, causing a flesh wound.  

Duncan was taken into custody on Tuesday (June 23) in Dallas, Texas.  She is currently in the Collin County jail, awaiting transfer to the Harris County jail.
