Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 900 block of Hearon St at 03:57 A.M. on June 3, 2018. It was reported that the victim had let his dog out and had left his front door open awaiting the dog’s return. The victim advised officers that an unknown white male later entered the residence and stole over $100 cash from a table. The victim chased the suspect but lost sight of him. The investigation continues.

 
Paris Police arrested 26 year old Shelby Lynn Murray at the Police Department on a warrant charging her with burglary of a habitation. The warrant stemmed from a May 23, 2018 investigation where Murray entered a residence in the 1800 block of Maple St and assaulted a female. Murray was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

 
On June 1, 2018, Paris Police responded to a suspicious person call in the 2200 block of W. Kaufman St. at 9:49 P.M.. During the investigation, a male ran from the officers in the 1300 block of W. Kaufman St. He was later located hiding under the back porch steps. Arrested was 55 year old Johnny Hackler Smallwood who had an outstanding parole warrant along with local felony bail jumping and driving while intoxicated warrants and misdemeanor warrants. Hackler was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

 
Paris Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at 7:34 P.M. on June 2, 2018 in the 3100 block of NE Loop 286. During the investigation, K9 Cupa alerted that narcotics were in the vehicle. Officers located three bottles of pills labeled for a person that was not in the vehicle and arrested the passenger, Ashley Faith Holliman, 25, of Paris. During the arrest, Holliman admitted to having methamphetamine on her that she was delivering to another person. Holliman was charged with three counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count of manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. She was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

                         
 Paris Police responded to 266 calls for service and arrested 14 persons over the past weekend ending at midnight on June 03, 2018.
