Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 16500 State Highway 249 about 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 27).

The identity of the male victim, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Glenn reported:

The victim was operating a black Suzuki motorcycle and traveling southbound at the above address when he struck a gold Volkswagen Jetta, also traveling southbound.  The impact caused the victim to be ejected from the motorcycle.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

The female driver of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries.  She was questioned and released.
