$15,000 Reward in
teen’s murder case
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office
continues its investigation in a murder case that occurred on Thursday, Jan.
An employee at Bush High
School called the Sheriff’s Office when students told her there was a deceased
Hispanic male near a retention pond.
Deputies responded and the
body was identified as Jason Montes, 17.
After retrieving Montes’
body, detectives determined that Montes died from being shot.
“This is a senseless crime,”
said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “Someone took this young man’s life, a horrible act
performed by a sick perpetrator who needs to be caught and punished. We know
someone in this area knows the story and we need to hear it in order to get
this murderer off the streets and in prison.”
