Paris Police responded to a burglary of a business at 7:04 A.M. on January 22, 2019 in the 1200 block of SE Loop 286. It was reported that unknown person(s) broke into several buildings on the property and stole numerous tools. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of SE 16th St at 10:41 A.M. on January 22, 2019. The driver and passenger were both found to have outstanding municipal court traffic warrants. During the arrest, the driver of the vehicle, 36 year old Jason Don Prunty, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation of the theft of the jewelry in the 4200 block of Lamar Ave on January 9, 2019, led to the identity of the male suspect. The suspect was identified as 42 year old Jeremy Dean Gilbert of Denison, Texas. Gilbert has since been arrested and charged with this theft along with a parole warrant. Paris Police are still needing to identify the female in the case. (no mugshot of suspect at this time. Will send it to you when it becomes available)
