The 50 Club of Galveston presented a $5,000.00 check to Galveston Police Officer Klynn Scales at the Joe Max Taylor Law Enforcement Building in Galveston. 

Officer Scales was injured in the apprehension of a murder suspect on her last day of Field Training. Galveston Police were searching for a Murder Supect and found the suspect hiding under a house. The Murder suspect tackled and injured Officer Scales' in an attempt to escape. The Murder Suspect was apprehended by Galveston Police with Officer Scales assisting in the arrest despite her injury.
