Claude Jackson

HOUSTON - A Houston police officer has been relieved of duty after being accused of fleeing from deputies while he was driving drunk, authorities said.

Claude Jackson, 27, was charged with driving while intoxicated and evading arrest in connection with the Sunday incident.

According to court records, Jackson fled from a Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office deputy who was trying to stop him Sunday.

Jackson had a blood alcohol level of 0.15 at the time of his arrest, according to court records.

Officials at the Houston Police Department said Jackson has worked the Southwest Patrol division for less than a year.

Jackson was released from jail on $4,500 bond.

This is the third incident of an HPD officer being involved in a DWI incident.

LEO's are only human too - this can happen to anyone. Glad they were caught before anyone got hurt and hope they seek the help they need to clean up their lives and get back out there to protect and serve. If that is even an option

This guy was a yet to be discovered criminal. Thank goodness no one was injured or killed by his trying to escape capture.
