Galveston County Sheriff's deputies arrested and charged the 16-year-old for allegedly making a false alarm or report.

TEXAS CITY, Texas - A Texas City High School student was arrested Monday in connection to an alleged threat made last week on a bathroom wall at the school.

Galveston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged the 16-year-old for allegedly making a false alarm or report.

The district informed parents Thursday night of the threat. Though they did not believe the threat was credible, district officials implemented increased police presence Friday at the school.

District officials did not elaborate on what the threat was.
