Officer Ryan Johnson, sworn in as a member of Houston Police Department class #196, on June 19th, 2008, succumbed to a short and valiant battle with cancer on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Officer Johnson was well respected by his peers, supervisors, and community he served. Officer Johnson joined HPD after serving as a New Orleans Police Officer and relocating his family after the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. Officer Johnson was noted for his kind heart, soft spoken nature, and both physical and spiritual strength. He is survived by his wife Jamie and 3 daughters. We are raising money for his family for funeral expenses.
