UPDATE: Dogwood Trail Shooting

The Cedar Park Police Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate the deadly shooting event that occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday May 12th at 711 Dogwood Trail.

This case is now being investigating as a murder - suicide.

Officers responded and found two men shot to death and one woman with critical gunshot wound injuries. Hailey Michelle Reyes DOB 8/31/94 was transported to St. David’s Round Rock where she is currently on life support and is likely to be the second homicide victim.

The male victim has been identified as John Michael Garcia DOB 2/16/73.

The suspected shooter has been identified as Elijah Jared Stone DOB 7/27/70, a resident of Austin. He was found deceased on scene from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. 

Stone has been identified as a long-time estranged brother of John Garcia. We are still investigating the motive behind this case.

We do not feel that there is any threat to the public at this time.
