    1 firefighter injured during overhaul, not transported.

    $65 thousand in estimated damage


CAUSE:
    Unintentional - radiated/conducted heat from welding


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    
Upon arrival firefighters found smoke and fire coming from the roof of an 1-story building. HPD was requested to assist with traffic on Bay Area Blvd.

The fire was located in the attic area of the building with no extension into the interior finished areas of the structure. Workers on scene informed HFD that they had been welding on metal beams in the exact area where the fire appeared to have started. The fire then spread through part of the attic into the roof.

Firefighters from Stations 71, 72, 93 and 94 responded to this incident.
