Shooting Investigation At Grapevine Apartments

SHOOTING INVESTIGATION AT GRAPEVINE APARTMENTS
GRAPEVINE, Texas - Grapevine Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, officers responded to a shots fired call at the Village on the Creek Apartments, in the 3100 block of Mustang Drive. Four bullets were fired into the door of an apartment unit, but nobody was hurt.
Approximately 30 minutes later, a shooting was reported at the Encore Apartments, in the 3000 block of Mustang Drive. The suspect fired several shots through the closed door of an apartment. Two people inside the apartment, a man and woman, were hit by multiple bullets. Both were transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Grapevine. The man's injuries are considered stable, while the woman underwent surgery. Two others in the apartment were not hurt.
Police believe the two incidents may be related and are talking with several witnesses from the apartments. According to their preliminary investigation, it is believed the suspect knew the victims and specifically targeted their apartments.
Detectives remain on scene, and will pursue all possible leads in this case. No arrests have been made at this time. The names of the victims have not been released.
