Government regulations target kids and their lemonade stands
The latest illegal lemonade stand was in Denver, where a pair of brothers raising money for charity were shut down. Country Time Lemonade is trying to step in and help with the fines and permit fees
But on a serious note, legal analyst Rachel Hooper says we are over-regulating our kids.
“What has called attention to this issue is regulating children who are just trying to be entrepreneurs,” Hooper said.
And that some states have said enough is enough.
“In Utah, they passes a bipartisan bill eliminating regulation for children involved in entrepreneurial ideas,” Hooper explained.
Hooper, who is in San Antonio for the Republican Convention, wants Texas lawmakers to do the same thing.
