Lincoln Johnson 07/12/1954
The Police La Porte Police Department (LPPD) has been on the hunt for a burglary suspect who burglarized two local businesses during the month of September 2017. The suspect was captured on surveillance video while breaking into both a commercial business on South 8th Street and later a jewelry store located in the 8600 block of Spencer Highway. The suspect pictured above was observed driving a Blue Nissan Versa, which can also be seen in the photo. The suspect is also believed to have burglarized a number of businesses in communities surrounding La Porte.
On Wednesday, 10/04/17, LPPD Detectives learned that a suspect matching the LPPD suspect’s description had been arrested by Pasadena Police Department Patrol Officers, during a traffic stop, for a Probation Violation Warrant. LPPD Detectives interviewed the suspect, identified as Lincoln Johnson, of Pasadena. As a result of the investigation, property from several burglaries, including the recent La Porte Jewelry Store burglary, as well as an abundance of burglary tools, were located in a hotel room and the suspects’ car. The Harris County District Attorney’s office accepted charges for both of the burglary cases from La Porte.
