A Fort County Sheriff's deputy and a Fort Bend County Constable's deputy arrested a man burglarizing an apartment in the Katy area.

About 4 o'clock in the morning the two deputies were called to the AshleyHouse Apartments in the 3900 block of South Mason Road to investigate a burglary in progress.

When the deputies arrived, they found the door to the apartment closed, but it showed signs of damage. The door was unlocked and deputies entered to find the burglar inside holding a small flashlight.

Deputies detained David Moehle, 21, of Richmond and he has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation.

The residents of the apartment were returning home when they noticed the blinds had been rearranged. They left the scene and called authorities.

When deputies entered, they found evidence of the apartment door being kicked in and the apartment looked as if it had been ransacked.

Moehle is in the Fort Bend County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
