The Beaumont Police Department is asking for help finding Kent Lawrence Hughes, a sex offender.  Hughes is 5'8'' tall, 156 lbs., Brown eyes, and Brown hair.
 
Hughes absconded from the Gulf Center located at 2495 Gulf Street in Beaumont, and has a parole violation. 

Hughes was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, sexual assault and burglary of habitation with intended sex offense.

Police say anyone who knows Hughes' location should call the Beaumont Police Department at 409-880-1234 or Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477.)  All tips to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and you could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
