Reward offered in murder of Houston woman

Jan. 13, 2013

Norma Jean Scott disappeared on or about the 29th or 30th of August in 2012.

Members of the 48 year old grandmother's family, and a volunteer search and recovery team, searched Scott's Fifth Ward Neighborhood, until her body was found on September 3, 2012.

Investigators from the Houston Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Deschaumes, where a crime scene was established, and an investigation initiated.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences later confirmed that the body belonged to Ms. Scott following an autopsy.

After months of continued investigation, investigators are left with no leads in the murder of Ms. Scott.
