A Beaumont man is in stable condition at the Jefferson County jail after being shot by police during a disturbance Friday.
 
John Michael Bledsoe, 28, was being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond on a charge of aggravated assault on a public servant, a jail official said. The charge stems from a disturbance reported just before 6 a.m. in the 3200 block of N. 10th Street, according to a Beaumont Police Department report.
