Galveston County Sheriff's Warrant Division investigators arrested a League City yesterday afternoon on charges she was involved in an improper relationship with a student.  

Stephanie Raleen Forbes, 40, was taken into custody in the 300 block of Sorrelwood Dr. in League City.  She was charged with Sexual Assault of a Child and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.  Forbes was later released from the Galveston County Jail after posting $20,000 in bonds.  

Sheriff's School Liaison deputies promptly started an investigation last month when they were briefed on allegations that Forbes had an on-going sexual relationship with a student.  Forbes resigned her position as a teacher with Clear Creek Independent School District after officials there launched their administrative investigation into the accusations.
