Police Officer

The Alvin Independent School District encompasses 250 square miles of Brazoria County and serves the communities of Alvin, Manvel, Iowa Colony, Liverpool, Amsterdam, and parts of Rosharon, Arcola, and Pearland. Nearly 20,000 students are enrolled in Alvin ISD’s 23 campuses.

Applicants must pass a written exam, physical fitness evaluation, psychological exam, and medical exam. Applicants will also undergo a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening.

- TCLEOSE Peace Officer’s Certification required

- High School diploma or GED required

- Valid Texas driver’s license required

- 5 years law enforcement experience preferred

- Ability to perform the essential functions of a police officer

- Bondable as required by Texas Education Code §37.08 (h)

- Ability to work well with youth and adults

- Full time officers will have a 225 day work calendar

- Salary Range: $32,508 - $48,798
