Armed Felon Captured in League City

An armed felon is now in custody for Sexual Assault of a Child and numerous drug charges after the joint efforts of law enforcement officials from League City Police Department and Constable Jerry Fisher's Office.

On Thursday, July 17 at 6:45 p.m., League City Police Officer Trevino, along with Sergeants Lee and Ethington, responded to the Havanna Apartments located at 2800 East League City Parkway to assist Deputy Constable McCammon with serving a felony warrant for Sexual Assault of a Child.  The warrant was issued by Harris County for 32 year old Jonathan Allen Garcia.  Law enforcement officials knocked on Garcia's apartment door and were greeted by a non-compliant Garcia.  Garcia fought officers and was found to have a gun tucked into his waistband.  Officers were able to safely place Garcia under arrest after a Taser was utilized.

During the follow up investigation, the following narcotics were recovered:  cocaine, methamphetamine, amphetamine, Alprazolam, and Hydrocodone.  In addition, printers and paper used to replicate US currency were located.

Garcia is charged with the following:
