Thursday officers from the Webster Police Department's Street Crimes Unit began an investigation into a suspicious woman who was found to be staying at a motel in the 1000 block of W NASA Parkway.

The investigation revealed the woman was a suspect in a residential burglary which occurred in the City of Galveston. Officers contacted the Galveston Police Department and learned the woman was believed to be in possession of stolen property and that a detective was in the process of securing an arrest warrant for her.

Officers later stopped the woman in her car and arrested her for possession of a small amount of methamphetamines. This arrest led to the discovery of the stolen property found in a motel room.

Over $8,000 in stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owner. It was also learned that the woman is currently being investigated for several other crimes in the Galveston County area.

Hutchinson, who has had addresses in San Leon and La Marque was convicted in Harris County in 2008 of Forgery.

Toyna Lee Hutchinson, 27,currently in the Harris County Jail charged with possession of a controlled substance. Charges in Galveston County are pending.
