MISSING PERSONS
 A Sheriff's Office official says a mother and her daughter who were reported missing Tuesday from Tiki Island in Galveston County has been found safe.
 
Investigators said Heather and Penelope Inks had been last seen on Monday at UTMB.  The mother went to UTMB hospital for an injury to her head and after that she went missing. Her car was found Wednesday afternoon.
 
Investigators said the mother had been going through a custody battle with the child’s father.

Missing From:  Tiki Island, Galveston County
Date Missing:  01-28-2014
Age: 31 and 9
Sex: Females
Height: 5’04”  and 4’10”
Weight: 98 and 70
Build: Thin and Thin 
Eyes: brown blue
Hair: Brown and long brown down to waist    
Race: Caucasian
Clothing:  blue jeans and red shirt, unknown on child

Circumstances behind Disappearance: Missing Persons tan Ford Explorer sports track was found Abandoned under Tiki Island bridge on 01-28-2014. 
Heather was last known to have her 9 years of age daughter, Penelope Inks with her. Heather and Penelope were last seen on 01-27-2104 at UTMB hospital.

For those who say there was no foul play because the woman was on fb the day after she went missing, you really may not be getting it. Anyone who knows your login info can go on your page and make it seems as though it is you doing the posting.

Heather and her daughter are OK. I just looked at her FB page she said she was at utmb on Monday, shows a what appears to be blood on her clothes, picture is a bit cloudy and a partial pic of her face. Glad she surfaced as I was willing to go on search and rescue to help find them. Wish she or someone that knew would have let the public know she and child we're alive.
