An Austin police sergeant has been suspended and demoted after it was determined that he had not reported in a timely and accurate fashion an incident in which he used his foot to push a handcuffed person, said police chief Art Acevedo.

Sgt. William Lefebvre, called to assist in an incident at a shopping center on Aug. 8, used the bottom of his foot to move a suspect further into a patrol car, striking him in the chest, Acevedo said.

"That tactic was not justified or objectively reasonable and (he) failed to report it in a timely manner," the chief said.

"used the bottom of his foot to move a suspect further into a patrol car, striking him in the chest"... Really?? So you kicked the crap out of them in the chest! How stupid can you be?

We don't beg or plead with them to move. Please, pretty please, really? We order them or we move them. How about next time don't call 911 call a crake head!

Sounds like a over-kill knee-jerk reaction by the chief in an attempt to ward off a possible lawsuit.
