William Jesse Werner went home on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the age of 70. He was born in Galveston on September 5, 1948, and lived in Houston for most of his life.

He worked as a probation officer, supervisor, director of personnel, and in victim services during his career at the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department.
