Incident Type: Burglary of a Building

Location: 2502 Hwy 3

Date/Times: 05/07/2018 0130hrs

Suspect(s): Unknown

Charges: None at this time

Officers were advised that a caller had observed a truck drive into the Star Mart (convenience store which was had closed for the night) and flee north on Hwy 3. Officers searched the area with negative results.

Officers arrived on scene and observed that there was a large hole in the exterior of the building directly next to the ATM.

Upon reviewing the footage it was observed a red  pick up truck attempted to back into the store at 0107hrs and were unsuccessful. At 0126hrs they returned and drove strait into the store with the front of the truck.

2 males exited the truck and attempted to steal the ATM and were unsuccessful. The subjects then reentered the truck and fled west on Main and then took the small road behind the store before fleeing north on Hwy 3.

The truck is a Red F-350 dually with a LED light bar on the roof above the wind shield and a for sale sticker in the front passengers side of the windshield. It was likely stolen out of a car lot which we are still looking to confirm.

The property owner advised that they stole no cash or goods. The only loss he suffered was from the damage to the building itself.
