Vehicles burglarized in Sienna Plantation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jan. 11, 2018

Richmond, Texas

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information concerning several vehicle burglaries in the Sienna Plantation.

On Jan. 7, 2018, Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a residence in the 3700 block of Butler Court concerning several Burglary of a Motor Vehicle cases.

In the early morning hours of Jan. 7, a white-colored four-door pickup truck was driven into a cul-de-sac and parked. Three subjects exited the truck and each started looking into vehicles.

Some of the items stolen included a wallet with several credit cards inside.

The three suspects left the area headed west. The suspects searched vehicles in about five locations in the cul-de-sac in about 11 minutes and then they departed.

“This is called car-hopping,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “The suspects hit a street and search or look into vehicles all in a row. In this incident, the crooks searched or looked into 10 vehicles in only 11 minutes.
“It is important for homeowners who park vehicles either in their driveways or in front of their homes to lock those doors,” said Sheriff Nehls. “In a lot of these cases, the crooks take the path of least resistance; in other words, they don’t bust windows to search the vehicles. So remember, it’s important to keep your vehicles locked up.”

Anyone who has information on this crime is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc.

-          Call (281) 342-TIPS (8477)

-          Send a Text Message:  Text FBCCS plus your tip to CRIMES (274637)

-          Submit Online:  http://www.fortbend.crimestoppersweb.com/

Information, which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect(s) involved, could earn you up to $5,000 CASH REWARD

All calls to Crime Stoppers are ANONYMOUS
