Investigators with Constable Mark Herman's Emissions Task Force Unit recently conducted a “curbstoning” investigation in the 23000 Block of Aldine Westfield.

Curbstoners are unlicensed automobile dealers who typically purchase vehicles that are unsafe or salvaged and resell them to unsuspecting buyers. These types of vehicles often have not been inspected by a State Vehicle Inspector and do not meet the State mandated safety or emissions standards.

“This investigation lead to individuals identified as Oluwasegun Adeniyi and Thomas Davis Jr who were selling vehicles without a dealer’s license. Adeniyi and Davis were issued citations for Engaging in Business as a Dealer without a License.” – Constable Mark Herman

Constable Herman urges the citizens of Precinct 4 to report “curbstoning” to the Emissions Task Force Unit at 832.927.6150 or online at, http://www.constablepct4.com/emissions-task-force.html.
