On September 5, 2017, deputies with Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 2800 block of Cypress Island Drive in reference to a possible burglary in progress.  Constable Deputies arrived in just over one minute and found the front door of the residence unsecured due to the recent flooding. The suspect was quickly located and assaulted a deputy while resisting arrest.

 

During the investigation, stolen property from the residence was found in the suspect’s possession, as well as other items believed to be stolen. Additional criminal charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

 

“The suspect refused to provide any identification and was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail under the name “John Doe”. He was charged with Burglary of a Habitation during a Natural Disaster and Assault on a Public Servant out of the 232nd District Court.” – Constable Mark Herman
