On Friday, August 4, 2017, at approximately 01:27 AM, Deputies with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office were dispatched to a major accident in the westbound lanes of the S Sam Houston PW E at the Beamer exit ramp.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed a yellow 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle on its side lying near damaged crash barrels. Both the male driver and his wife had been ejected from the motorcycle during the accident and were subsequently transported to Clear Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance.
The male, identified as 38 year old Joe Guerrero Jr. of Friendswood, suffered significant injures as a result of the crash. The female passenger, identified as 39 year old Kimberly Guerrero, was listed in critical condition upon arrival.
Mrs. Guerrero died shortly after 7:00 AM as a result of her injuries.
Members of the Precinct 8 Crash Team conducted a thorough investigation in this case which among other things, included performing forensic reconstruction of the accident.
In addition, evidence in this case suggested Mr. Guerrero was operating the motorcycle while intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Charges of Intoxication Manslaughter were filed against Mr. Guerrero and he was taken into custody upon being released from the hospital earlier today.
He is now being held in the Harris County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.

Jason Finnen, Chief Deputy

Comments:
Let's hope he does not disappear once bailed out.He needs to be put in prison. I'd rather pay to house him in prison than to pay his way through life on a government assistance programs.
