Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 6705 Fairway about 3:10 a.m. on Saturday (June 1).

The suspect, Michael Walker (b/m, 49), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Lenora Reese, 35, of the above address, who died at the scene.

A photo of suspect Walker is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a woman down call at the above address and found Ms. Reese in the parking lot of the apartment complex.  Further investigation and witness statements identified Walker as the suspect in this case, along with the description of the vehicle he was driving.

Walker later turned himself in at the HPD Southeast Police Station at 8300 Mykawa and was subsequently charged for his role in Reese's death.  Walker admitted to investigators he and the victim, who are acquaintances, had used narcotics prior to the incident.
