New Mexico State police say 35-year-old Amy Reyna was shot dead Sunday near Hobbs after a chase that began in Denver City, Texas.

Denver City police and Yoakum County Sheriff's deputies were looking for Reyna and a deputy spotted her vehicle.

When the man driving the car pulled over and got out, Reyna jumped from the passenger's side to the driver's seat and sped away.

Two Texas officers began chasing Reyna into New Mexico and Lea County Sheriff's  deputies were called in to help.

Reyna drove into a pasture off State Road 132 and stopped before officers fired. She was dead at the scene.

Comments:

That's bullshit why did they have to kill her unless she was shooting at them damn they can shoot an kill anyone and its OK fuck that.

she deserved it she is a thief and all thieves deserve it.

Posted by lerke at 10/31/2013 3:28:39 PM

Yep, don't do the crime if ya can't do the time. It's simple, really.

Posted by YouKnowWho at 10/31/2013 8:14:09 PM

Why did they shoot her?

It doesn't say anything about her stealing. So why is she a thief

Posted by crystal at 10/31/2013 10:48:20 PM

Not sure if yall knew her despite that's pretty heartless to say she deserved it. She is still someones daughter and family member. And for a family member to see this while they are.grieving is pretty messed up. Nobody deserves to die and def not to be shot at. We are no one to judge especially since all of the details haven't even been given .

Posted by crystal at 10/31/2013 11:18:59 PM

She had to be stopped from endangering other people on the road.

Posted by YouKnowWho at 11/1/2013 6:05:08 PM

She was a wanted felon and ran. Don't run from police; you will not win the race.

Posted by YouKnowWho at 11/1/2013 6:09:43 PM

Stopped yes not shot at ! Especially when she wasn't armed .

Posted by crystal at 11/1/2013 9:57:24 PM

Police that cant subdue a 35 year old female that is not armed without killing her do not deserve to carry the authority of the US government. Personally I have no use for the police. If there is something going on at my house that I cant handle then they damn sure can't handle it.
