GALVESTON, Texas - Wednesday Galveston Police were dispatched to 6187 Central City Blvd (Peak Nutrition store) to investigate a single vehicle major accident, where a white Ford F150 crashed through the front of the business.
Upon arrival the vehicle was all the way inside the front of the building, occupied by one person. The driver was later identified as Jan Strambald,59.
Lt. David Torres told The Police News the driver was removed from vehicle by Fire/ EMS, and he had several lacerations to his head but no life threatening injuries.
An eye witness said she saw the driver in convulsions/ seizure after the accident and accident is believed to have been caused due to a medical condition.
Two persons inside Peak Nutrition received minor injuries from flying glass, a 59 year old woman and a 64 year old man. The 64 year old man was taken to UTMB for observations.
Strambald was taken by ambulance to UTMB for treatment and observations.
Galveston City Inspectors were called to scene to assess damage. Owners representative said he would have store boarded up.
