GALVESTON - A 55 year old Dickinson man, riding a motorcycle without a motorcycle driving license, with no inspecition sticker nor insurance and with an expired inspection stickers, crashed on the Galveston Causeway Thursday from what investigators say was caused by unsafe speed.

Leonard Romar, speeding north on the causeway, 'laid it down' during rush hour traffic Thursday afternoon.  Two lanes were shut down for hours, stalling traffic for miles, as officers investigatred the crash.

Romar was taken by ambulance to John Sealy Emergency Room with non-life threatening injuries.

Professional law enforcement agencies must do reconstructions on injury accidents inc case they have to go to court. At least GPD is trying the handle accident investigations in a professional manner.
