A Harris County judge on Monday threw out a defamation suit filed by a Jacinto City police officer against one of his most vocal critics.

State District Judge Elaine Palmer dismissed Sgt. Dennis Walker's case against Larry Schion, a 54-year-old gate mechanic who has for months urged the Jacinto City police chief and City Council to fire Walker.
