WalMart in Alvin reported the theft of a television valued at approx. $1,800 in March of 2012.  The case was investigated and Paul Leroy Leggett was identified as a suspect. The detective subsequently obtained a warrant.

On 01/15/2013 an Alvin PD officer recognized Leggett entering a business in the 700 block of N. Gordon.  He made a routine warrant inquiry and was advised of the active arrest warrant regarding the above case.  The officer made contact with Leggett who was taken into custody without incident.  He is still in custody with a $15,000 bond for the State Jail Felony Theft.
