An officer has been shot during a pursuit that followed a robbery this afternoon at Capital Plaza in North Austin, officials said. The officer's injuries were not considered life-threatening, the officials said.

The robbery occurred at the Fallas store in the 5400 block of I-35 North in the Capital Plaza, according to police.

A vehicle pursuit ended at the H-E-B on Manor and Springdale roads in Northeast Austin, officials said. They said that shots were fired at officers and that one officer was hit.

The suspect is still at large and is considered dangerous, police said. Residents should avoid the areas of Manor Road and Susquehanna Lane and U.S. 183 and Loyola Lane, police said.
