DICKINSON -Carlton James Morgan, Sr. of Dickinson was born December 13, 1959 in Galveston, Texas.  He passed from this life, January 5, 2013 at his home.

A graduate of Dickinson High School and Southern University, he was employed with the Galveston County Sheriff's Department where he had worked for 28 ½ years.  He was also a member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by his father, Freddie Morgan, Jr. and his grandparents, David and Dora Brooks and Mr. & Mrs. Freddie Morgan, Sr., memories of his life will forever be cherished by his children, James Ayeo, Carlton J. Morgan, Jr.  and Cameron J. Morgan; his mother, Barbara B. Morgan; his sister, Patricia Britton;  brothers, Freddie Morgan, III and Anthony  W. Morgan;  2 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Services will be held at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church, 300 FM 517 in Dickinson with visitation beginning Friday, January 11th at 5:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:00PM.  Funeral  Mass will be 12:30 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013  at the church with Father Paul Felix.
