MONTANA - The Police News has learned that fugitive John Franklin Day had ditched the car the pair were traveling in and they were attempting to cross into Canada on foot.
Police say Day had attempted to remove the vehicle identification numbers (VIN) from his
car so police could not connect it to he and Fichera and thereby discover they had gone into Canada.
Authorities in Montana say the pair were spotted by a farmer on road in a sparsley populated, rural area. He reported to police the pair seemed suspicious and out of place in that area of the
When police detained them and check their ID's through the National Crime Information Center, they immediately took them into custody.
There is no information this morning on whether or not Fichera will be charged with anything or if she will be released. Arrangements will be made by the Harris County Sheriff's
Office to return Day to Harris County to face charges of Indecency With A Child and Failure to Appear in Court. The original bond of $20 million was withdrawn Wednesday by State District Judge
Jan Krocker who has denied bail meaning he will be held in jail until his trial.

MONTANA - Franci "Sissy" Fichera, 18, and her 41-year old sex offender, fugitive, husband have been arrested in Montana attempting to cross into Canada. The Police News received
that information a few minutes ago from the Texas Attorney General's Office and confirmed it with Fichera's mother.
Since there are no criminal charges against Fichera, she is
likely to be freed in Montana unless immigration officials charge her with attempting to enter Canada illegally.
John Franklin Day, is wanted by Pasadena and Harris County authorities on charges of Indecency With A Child and Bond Jumping. State District Judge Jan Krocker has ordered he be
held without bond once he is returned to Harris County.
