ALVIN, TX - Alvin residents have reported an increase in fraudulent schemes. "Senior citizens in particular seem to be the primary target of scam artists," said Alvin Police Officer Bobby Vincent. Residents are urged to be alert and to remain vigilant in protecting their personal information.

Senior citizens are often targeted because most of them have a little "nest egg" tucked away. They are also attractive to scammers because they own their own home and have good credit.
