AMBER ALERT CANCELLED

An Amber Alert has been issued for Phoebe Nicole Hughes, 13, in Cuero, Texas. The young girl was last seen with Eric Castillo, 34, and authorities believe she may be in immediate danger.


Phoebe Nicole Hughes, 13, went missing from her South Texas hometown on Friday, June 20. Now, authorities are desperately trying to find her and her potential kidnapper, Eric Castillo, 34, because they are concerned that she may be in grave danger.


Authorities and family members of Phoebe Nicole Hughes are desperately searching for her in South Texas. Phoebe was last seen in Cuero, not far from San Antonio, Texas.

Phoebe was last seen around 5am on Friday, June 20, in the company of Eric Castillo, 34. There is no word on whether or not Phoebe and Eric are connected in any way.

It is believed that Phoebe may be in immediate or grave danger, according to 92FM. It is also believed that Phoebe went with Eric willingly, reports News92FM

Eric is described as a white/hispanic man that is around 5’2? and 185lbs. He also has unnaturally red hair, and multiple tattoos on his ankle, arms, chest, and more.

He was last seen driving an all-black 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with Texas license plate #BX8B009.

Phoebe, who has brown eyes and hair, is reported to be about 5’4? and 150lbs. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jean capri pants.

If you spot either of these people, authorities strongly encourage you to contact them immediately by calling the DeWitt County Sheriff at 361-275-5734. Of course, you can also call 911 if necessary.

Our thoughts are with Phoebe’s family at this time. Hopefully she is located safe and sound very soon.
