GALVESTON - A westbound pickup approaching the San Luis Pass toll bridge this afternoon, crashed into a steel guardrail and flipped over ejecting the driver and leaving the contents of the truck strewn about 50 yards.

The driver, tentatively identified as 36-year Ruben Aranda Dorantes of Houston, suffered minor injuries and was taken to John Sealy Hospital for treatment. He was treated at the scene by Galveston Beach Patrol, Galveston EMS and Galveston Fire.

Jamaica Beach and Galveston Police were investigating.
