Over $16,000 and drug stash seized by La Porte Police

On Saturday March 15th, 2014, La Porte officers responded to a call of suspicious circumstances within the business and parking lot portions of a Walgreens store, located in the 9700 block of Spencer Highway.  The caller advised a female was acting erratically in the store and later while standing in the parking lot, expressing a belief that she may be intoxicated.  Patrol and K-9 officers quickly responded to the business and soon-after made a substantial cash and drug seizure from the suspects involved after the K-9 hit on the drugs during a search of their car.

The Harris County DA`s Office accepted felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for possession of Xanax, and felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for Methamphetamines, against Stephanie Foreman of Hampshire, TX  and Christopher Scholes of neighboring Shoreacres. The investigation revealed not only the drugs and hidden cash, but an arrest warrant for Scholes, formerly issued out of Deer Park.
