I had been reading about all the DWI crack downs in Galveston County last year and was impressed. Shortly after, I of course heard about the ADA and and officer being charged with a DWI themselves. I have to say it is almost laughable about the true attention some of these repeat offenders get. I personally know of one that recently after a third or more offense was offered a deal with five years probation. He was ordered thirty days which was available for weekends so he could work. With no drivers license he drove himself for his first weekend and this past weekend he was driven because he was drunk. Seriously, you can serve your time drunk. Shouldn't they have been given a PI for showing up that way? Not to mention how bad can it be if you are sleeping off your drunken stupor. This is not the only person I know of as I have had several opportunities to meet several Bacliff, Bayshore and San Leon residents that also find it laughable that they continually get PI' or other arrest, go see Judge Foster and are out walking about free to roam or drive and do it again. ALso, I really mention your Busted and Cuffed features.
