COPPERAS COVE, TEXAS – On Thursday, September 7, 2017 officers responded to the A-Stop Convenience Store at 2102 S. FM 116 in reference to a skimmer device located on a gas pump.

Upon arrival, they made contact with the technician who discovered the device. After interviewing the technician and store clerk, they estimated the device has been in place for several weeks.

If you purchased gas at this A-Stop between August 4, 2017 and September 7, 2017 we highly recommend you contact your card issuer and request a new card. It is further suggested that you monitor your account and report any unauthorized transactions.

The Copperas Cove Police Department are investigating this incident and would like to inform you that tips can be made anonymously through the Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers tip number (254)547-1111.
